Hobbies:
In his spare time Reno likes to work on anything mechanical. He likes to make good use of his hands and the smell and feel of grease is very comforting. He can usually be found in the garage under a motorcycle or downing the closest bottle of alcohol.

Secretly Reno loves to read and learn new things, but he will be damned if anyone ever catches him doing so. Being under estimated is one of his biggest advantages.

Physical appearance:
Reno is a very tall and scrawny looking individual, but still has a solid muscle structure. His head is topped with flaming red spikes which flow down into a long pony tail. His other trademark features are his symmetrical scars under both his eyes.

While on duty he can be seen wearing the normal Turks uniform with some minor modifications. He never tucks in his shirt and has the first two buttons undone, he never wears a tie, and wears combat boots instead of dress shoes.

While undercover with the gang, Reno wears a snug fitting t-shirt, dark cargo pants, a leather biker jacket and boots. As the scars under his eyes are too recognizable, he covers them with make up.

Personality:
At first glance, Reno would appear to be rude, brash, loud mouthed, lazy, arrogant, cocky, self centered and an overall asshole. When digging deeper, one realizes that all these traits are true except there is also a sense of pride, dedication, determination and loyalty towards his job. Never wanting to disappoint, Reno will do anything needed to get the job done. Many times he has put himself in needless danger and preformed reckless stunts which usually end with him in the hospital; however he has never failed a mission (at least in his eyes). This unique sense of work ethic found in the red headed slacker has made him one of the four aces of the Turks.

Despite what many would think Reno is actually a very smart individual. However, most of his knowledge does not come from books, it comes from living in the slums most of his life. Gifted with the ability to learn quickly, he can pick up just about any book and in a matter of hours have basic knowledge of what he just read. Seeming to be a jack of all trades, this gives Reno the ability to adapt quickly to any situation.

Having a very short fuse to his anger, Reno is considered to be a very hot headed individual. More then once his temper has gotten him into trouble where Rude physically had to bail him out. Over the years he has gained better control of his rage but still there are times when it can not be contained. When Reno becomes so enraged that he sees red, all control is lost and there is very little that can be done to calm him down. To avoid confrontations and complications Rude has learned to recognize the signs to Reno’s uncontrollable temper and is usually able to head it off at the pass.

Reno is very mechanically inclined and with enough time, he can figure out how any machine works. Growing up around motorcycles, he highly enjoys fixing and tinkering with them. When ever Reno needs to take a breather or calm down, the first place he heads it to the garage. Working with his hands and being covered in dirt, grime and grease is very therapeutic to the red head. When he does not have the opportunity for a hands on involvement, he will read books on the subject. Although he never does this where anyone would see him for being viewed as a bookworm would contradict his image.

History:
* Reno grew up in an orphanage never knowing his parents. He was constantly picked on and as he grew older it lead to sexual abuse. Eventually Reno snapped and he killed four of his aggressors and fled the orphanage. (age 1 to 10)
* For the next 6 month Reno lived on the streets selling himself for food. One day a woman took pity on him and took him home to take care of him. She was a resident Den Mother of the local gang, the Fire Hawks. (age 10)
* Over the next three years, Reno was taken in by said gang and taught the ropes. He learned how to pick locks, sneak quietly, ride a motorcycle, run drugs, talk his way out of any situation, and fight. The Den Mother even taught Reno basic reading and writing. Quickly his popularity grew and by the age of 13 he was allowed his own motorcycle and could participate in gang activities.(age 10 to 13)
* The gang leader took a great shinning to Reno and within two years he was second in command of the gang. On one fateful day while Reno was out leading a group of gang members, he returned home to find it ransacked and everyone there dead, including the Den Mother and the leader. Out of anger and spite, Reno gave himself two symmetrical wounds by each eye as a remembrance to that fateful day, and most importantly... to the one woman who gave him a chance. While carving his wounds, Reno vowed that he would kill every last gang member who did this, which happened to be the Plague Dogs. (age 15)
* Over the next year, Reno launched a serious death campaign against the Plague Dogs. Using war tactics he read in a book, he managed to eliminate over half their numbers. One day a Turk showed up at the Fire Hawks door wanting to speak with Reno. The Turk, which happened to be Rude, offered him a job and Reno accepted. In the slums, the disappearance of the notorious gang leader still remains a mystery. (Age 16)
* After Reno was brought above the plate, it was very obvious that he was a slum rat and very uneducated. His first meeting with President Shinra was proof enough of that. While meeting with the President, some words where exchanged resulting in Reno leaping over the desk in an attempt to harm the President. Rude quickly pulled him off while the President screamed orders at Tseng and Rude to “Kill the red headed bastard!” Tseng worked his magic and made a deal requiring Reno to go to classes to educate himself and learn some manners. If Reno could not be educated, the President would have him killed.
* The first 6 months of Reno’s Turks career was very intense with his Turk Training and schooling. Not finding enough time to do everything, Reno quickly turned to drugs. He surpassed all expectations while using the drugs to stay up late and study, then get up early and train.
* Throughout the six month, Rude noticed Reno's behavior change and knew it had to be because of drugs. Knowing that Reno’s life depended on him passing his classes and Training, he let it slip, but when the drug usage did not stop, Rude took matters into his own hands. Locking Reno in his apartment for three days, Rude threw out all of his drugs, threatened all of his contacts, and stayed with him for the three days of the initial withdrawal. This was a major bonding experience for Rude and Reno and became the foundation of their friendship. (age 17)
* Over the next year, Rude kept a very close eye on Reno and his drug consumption. By the age of 18 Reno had kicked his hard core drug habit, granted it was replaced with his alcoholism and cigarette addiction but nobody is perfect. After being off the drugs, Reno’s skills became even better and he quickly became and irreplaceable member of the Turks. (age 18)
* These dark times when Reno first joined is known only by Tseng and Rude. They don’t talk about Reno past and it’s considered one of the Turks dark secrets.
* Wanting to start anew Reno decided after joining the Turks that he would never openly talk about his past. The only person that he has shared any part of his past with is Rude, and he still does not know everything. There are some things that are better left buried.
